Respect the Call
US Soccer has initiated new rules to prevent referee abuse. Coaches, parents, and fans should know that referee abuse will not be tolerated in GLRSA.
Having referees is critical to GLRSA to ensure the safety of all players. Some of our referees are highly experienced and also officiate travel and high school matches in addition to recreational soccer. Other referees are current high school players who want to officiate the game they love. Without referees, we don't have games.
We encourage you to review the Referee Abuse Prevention Information Page from Indiana Soccer to become more aware of the new policies. We also ask that you review the chart below to see how the new rules will impact those individuals who make the unfortunate choice to abuse officials.
IF YOU OBSERVE REFEREE ABUSE AT A GLRSA MATCH, EMAIL [email protected] AND INCLUDE INFORMATION ON THE LOCATION AND TIME OF THE MATCH, THE TEAMS INVOLVED, AND THE INDIVIDUAL(S) WHO MAY HAVE BEEN ABUSING THE OFFICIALS.
